Welcome to the "Berner" in Zell am See which is personally run in the third generation by the Berner Family. From December 14th 2024 we are looking forward to welcoming again a lot of friends and guests from all over the world!
Our Hotel is known amongst its many international regular winter guests for:
- Ski-In and Ski-Out: Ski to the Hotel. Situated right at the ski slope (Nr. 17), next to the chairlift and only 100 m to the CityXpress gondola
- our “Complete Winter Service”: ski rental and ski school come to the hotel and ski passes are available at front desk – we organize everything for you.
- the great location: next to the slope, absolutley quiet but centrally situated - it's only a 5 min. walk to the centre and the lake
- the marvellous views - beautiful panoramic view over the village Zell am See and lake Zell
- a small, personally run Hotel with Austrian atmosphere - we know our guests’ names
- the international flair - guests from 10 different nations per week is common
- the daily holiday tips - we'd like to be your holiday coach
A very international clientele meets at our classy hotel every winter. We welcome winter enthusiasts who come to our place for skiing and snowboarding. They like the easy access to the slopes of the Schmittenhöhe thanks to the ski-in and ski-out location of the hotel. Beginners are enjoying our special care for them - that means that we organise everything from ski rental to ski school and ski passes for them. But also non skiers love Zell am See with its nice winter promenades.
They all have one thing in common: they are looking for a cosy and peaceful surrounding to enjoy an uncomplicated and stress-free holiday!

Exclusively for guests of our small, cosy hotel in Zell am See we have created a new Spa & Wellness area next to the skislope in Zell am See.

From the Hotel directly onto the Skislope - and back! This is possible due to our great location near the town center of Zell am See but next to the skislope and only 70 m to the calbe car.

You can buy your ski pass for the ski areas of Zell am See and Kaprun at the reception of the Hotel Berner. This way you get conveniently and fast on to the slopes at the Schmittenhöhe and the Kitzsteinhorn glacier.

The town center of Zell am See is only a 5 min. walk from the Hotel Berner. You'll find pavement cafés, bars, nice restaurants and shops there. The CityXpress calbe car brings you up into the skiarea from the center and the Hotel.

This became the highlight of a winter vacation for a lot of our return guests. Monday 8.30 a.m. - before the crowds - empty slopes - perfectly goomed - and the Hotel Berner gang. Ski Guiding.

As former ski instructors in Zell we know the requiremnts of beginner, advanced and expert skier. Therefore we chose a ski school that guarantees the best possible satisfaction for our guests.

The right equipment is essential for great carving turns! Our partner ski rental comes diretly to the hotel with all the equipment - you don't have to carry it around and can get directly onto the slopes!
