The Hotel Berner in Zell am See is "the place" for your to relax! At the patio by the heated outdoor pool is a deckchair prepared for you. We'll server you drinks and home made cakes and you can perfectly enjoy the quietness and recharge your batteries! In the evening you enjoy a great dinner with dishes prepared from products of our area and after a good night sleep with lots of fresh air you are ready for another adventurous day!

cosy Alpine Huts
Many Alpine Huts on the surrounding mountains of Zell am See and on the mountain range of the "Hohe Tauern" are waiting for you for a break and a snak. Depending on the weather we are looking forard to give you suggestions at our front desk for your next mountain tour. Wether you prefer short and easy hikes or you are rather going for long and tricky ones with a little bit of climbing - we'll find the right tour for your. Some of our suggesed huts in the area:
- Ebenbergalm, above Zell am See, about 45 min. from the Hotel
- Hochzelleralm, at the promenade from the "Schmittenhöhe" to the "Sonnkogel"
- Blaickner's Sonnalm, at the "Schmittenhöhe", accessible via the "Sonnalmbahn"
- Schützing Alm, on the trail from "Mitterberg" to the summit of "Schwalbenwand"
- Fürthermoaralm, near the high alpin reservoirs in Kaprun
Roundtrip on Lake Zell
On Board of the new MS Schmittenhöhe you are able to combine two things! While you can relax and have a drink or some cake you can enjoy the great area of Zell am See and the scenery around the lake pasing by.
If you'd like to discover the lake on your own, there are small e-boats or rowing boats. If you rather prefer to lie in the sun, then there are numerous possibilities around the lake or at the patio at the Hotel Berner.
Excursions
Excursions are an essential part of Summer Retreat and Zell am See is one of the best starting points. Many possibilietes for sunny and rainy days are very close. From natural monuments, high alpine view points, educational and cultural sites to museums - the possibilities are nearly endless. One thing is for sure: One week of holiday is not enough!

Culture
Beside the "Salzburg Music Festival" you'll also find numerous cultural events in Zell am See. Weekly events like the "Classical Summer Concerts", the "Zeller Organ Concerts", "Sound of Austria", the "Salzburger Heimatabend" and the "Concerts of the local brass band" are performed throughout most of the summer. Different one-time events like the "Salzburg Music Spring Festival", "Mountains in flames", "High Culture - There is Music in the air!" are responsible for a very varied programm during summer.
